From Amsterdam to Singapore and from satellite and broadcast operations to SAP, we are driving Discovery forward on the leading edge of technology.

You will mainly be involved on Eurosport. The channel is currently moving in a new technology transformation for all his equipment home of all countries in Europe based on a hybrid architecture on premise and cloud.

London and Paris team manage the engineering and support of this new group surrounded by two playout center and all the markets in Europe from Eurosport.

Responsabilits

Part of the ACS Team (Automation and Content Solutions) engineering and level 2 support on playout, MAM and Post-Prod platform in a virtualized hybrid on-premised and cloud environment you will have the following responsibilities .

Engineering:

? Short-Term project management

? Gather workflow need in all Eurosport offices

? Write workflow, project and engineering document

? Workflow centralized and design on Playout, MAM and Post-Production

Support:

? Level 2 of support

? Unsure to share update on platform day to day with the support level 1 ? Plan maintenance

? Upgrade phases and reboot action coordination

? In charge of the global health of the system

Qualifications

  • Degree in Technology, or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Broadcast Technology in a support or engineering role
  • Experience in Sport, News, Production and Documentary environment
  • Experience on playout automation
  • Experience with a MAM and Post-Production tools
  • Extensive Broadcast technical background (IP video 2110, AES 67, NMOS, video and audio formats and codec)
  • Good understanding of IT technologies and the associated challenge (network, virtualization, storage, cloud services, security)
  • Following technology intelligence to permanently keep the system efficient for business growth
  • English and French (optional) writing and speaking
  • Communication skills
  • Capacity to work on a constant change environment
  • Strong team member with self-motivation and consistent customer service
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills

To know :
  • Work on shift (evening and week-end, some night depending on the event)
  • On Call
  • London, UK or Paris, France
  • Minimal travel anticipated
