Installation, Maintenance, and Repair of electrical equipment and wiring. Assets to maintain include: Substations, Feeders, Circuit Breakers, Lighting, Outlets, Wire, Signs, etc.


  • Must pass examinations in initial RWP and AMT-2 Classes.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of maintenance of electrical assets.
  • Must have prior satisfactory work attendance record, work performance, and safety record.
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems and what is required to make repairs
  • Drive CDL vehicles for the department in various locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Must read, write, and speak the English language clearly.
  • Must be able to lift 50lb or more.
  • Basic electrical theory, knowledge coupled with the desire and ability to learn.
  • Must have a current valid drivers license at hiring or transfer and must have valid Class B Commercial Drivers License. Both licenses must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Valid Journeymans Electrical License required.


  • Experience as an electrician or lineman with knowledge of tools, rigging, electricity and safety procedures.
  • Basic Electrical theory, knowledge of electrical components and use of various electrical testing devices.
  • Formal electrical training.
  • Valid Master Electricians License.


Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
