What you'll do: As a Lead Product Manager, you'll be working on the leading edge of the employee pay experience within a wildly successful product -- MyADP. MyADP desktop and mobile solutions offer some of ADP's most popular features such as employee access to pay statements, tax statements, direct deposit management, and digital creation of federal and state W-4s, and pay insights. We're looking for a sharp, organized, and detail-oriented Lead Product Manager with experience in user-centered design, design thinking, and an understanding of systems integration. This key role will serve as a hands-on product owner in a fast-paced agile environment for teams providing capabilities to clients and ADP business units across the globe. It is important that you understand the challenges and complexities involved in building compliant solutions as many of our features must follow federal and state specific guidelines. In addition, we expect that you'll be adept at researching and understanding the experience of our competitors' offerings, working with our UX researchers and designers to understand what our clients value, and be able to articulate that knowledge into a vision and executable backlog of features that will delight and provide value to our clients and their employees.

In this role you'll work closely with many internal partners as our services are shared across nearly all of ADP's human capital management and payroll systems, so you'll be partnering with multiple cross-functional teams to align our enhancements to operational improvement efforts. In addition, you'll be working with our customer facing service and support teams to drive client enhancement requests and issues into the backlog for prioritization and execution by the team.


  • Partner with the Sr. Director to define, manage, and execute individual product strategies with aligned, multi-quarter roadmaps.
  • Collaborate alongside engineering, design, and business teams integrating customer insights with design best-practices; building and deploying quality features.
  • Lead the work of a multi-function project team through rapid, data-driven iterations focused on customer and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Maintain the product backlog (prioritization and refinement), working day-to-day with the team to clarify requirements that balances business needs with technical requirements.
  • Coach and help the team execute on customer insights and data, acting as a source of knowledge for associates with less experience.
  • Proactively adapt strategy to continually improve products through understanding business metrics and focus on product initiatives to drive results.
  • Accomplish your goals with a moderate level of guidance and direction


  • 8+ years' experience as a product manager/owner managing in agile, design-driven, user-centered product and development teams supporting the delivery of web/mobile based products.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues simply and convincingly to help drive fast decisions and accomplish project goals
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Technical acumen to understand the data architecture and data exchange protocols such as APIs and Web Services
  • Basic understanding of payroll terminology and calculations
  • Strong problem solving and facilitation skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
  • Experience conducting formal usability studies and developing web and mobile experiences
  • Highly motivated to develop and acquire a high level of knowledge about product management, ADP customers and the marketplace
  • Strive for simplicity and organization to expedite the most effective customer solution & experience.
  • Thinking creatively, showing passion and ability to identify and deliver new product innovation.
