  In this role, you will work alongside ADP product owners to understand their challenges in creating, upgrading, or augmenting our National Accounts learning management solutions. Then, you'll design technical solutions and guide a team of developers as they implement your design.

   

  Each day, you will start with a scrum and identify priorities within the current sprint or discuss a new project. You’ll both create designs to guide the developers and also roll up your sleeves and code. As the team lead, you'll communicate and collaborate with your team and cross-functionally, acting as the technical reference.

   

  To thrive in this role, you have at least one year of experience leading a team, as well as experience in architecture, design, and building large-scale distributed service-oriented systems. You are an expert in Java and have strong Oracle or SQL skills. You are also proficient in cloud technologies.

  WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Join a team of talented software engineers, plan, execute and deliver top quality software deliverables on-time.
  • Act as a primary, dedicated technology interface owning the technical responsibility for architecture, analysis, design, development, and implementation of responsive user interface.
  • Work closely with product management to define, implement, and improve backend processing and performance
  • Mentor the team in terms of technical requirements and process requirements.
  • Find evaluate and adopt new technologies as and when needed.
  • Overall, you will be responsible for day-to-day task management and sprint planning, working closely with product and stakeholders, participating in design sessions, performing heads-down development, working on technical integrations with backend APIs, and working with QA to assure top quality deliverables on-time.
  • Experience. You have 8 or more years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including at least one year of experience leading software engineers in addition to hands-on development.

   

  TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Expert level experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Micro Services, Relational databases - Oracle/SQL Server, and Kafka
  • Enterprise level experience in architecting, designing, and building solutions for new problems
  • One or more years of experience leading software engineers
  • 3 or more years of both integration testing experience and unit testing experience
  • Experienced with Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD principles
  • Proficient with JSON, REST APIs, Spring frameworks, ORM tools
  • You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent.

  • Kubernetes, Docker containers, and DevOps
