ADP is hiring a Lead Business Systems Analyst. The Lead Business Systems Analyst will be a major contributor to the Compliance Business Systems Analyst team. The qualified candidate requires a high level of proficiency in scope management and requirements elicitation on large applications with a statutory and compliance concentration.

The individual must have a willingness to learn and participate in the day-to-day activities of a team of analysts whose responsibilities include the following:

  • Review incoming statutory and compliance changes and determine their business and system impacts to the system and partner systems.
  • Assist with the development activities associated with maintaining and updating the statutory rules that drives tax calculations, deposits and filings. This will require gaining a thorough understanding of the analysis, development, testing and deployment activities of the team.
  • Collaborate closely with Agile SCRUM/Kanban teams with regard to statutory and or compliance business issues that potentially influence system design or workflow decisions.
  • Serve as a point person for inquiries on statutory, compliance and system issues from business stakeholders, field support personnel, and others.
  • Assist with implementation of changes and additions to the federal, state and local requirements. This will require gaining an understanding of the current workflow used for tracking these changes from agency notification through deployment.
  • Assess opportunities for business process flow and system logic improvements and make recommendations for change.
  • Act as a statutory product owner when required on any project, statutory or otherwise, within the payroll development team.

The candidate must be willing to act as a team member while also having the ability and desire to learn various aspects of the development process. He/she must be capable of working in a team atmosphere with the appropriate level of supervision while managing a workload that typically peaks at quarter-end and year-end boundaries. The position will require the qualified candidate to work with experienced analysts to learn our systems. This position is subject to vacation black outs during peak periods.

 

EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

  • 5+ Business Systems Analyst or relevant Project Management experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with both business and technical project stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills. Must be able to lead geographically dispersed cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills. Must be able to juggle numerous tasks, maintaining their progress, risks and status. 
  • Strong analytic skills and demonstrated technical astuteness.
  • Must be able to define, elaborate and document business and systems requirements.

  • Agile experience 

  • Jira and Confluence experience a plus.
  • Prior hands-on tax experience and/or CPP certification a plus.
  • Must be able to define, elaborate and document business and systems requirements. 
  • Familiarity with federal, state and local wage and tax reporting requirements.
