**Product Control**


Product Control is a specialized area within the Controllers discipline and is principally associated with the Markets & Securities Services and Corporate & Investment Banking businesses. The Product Control teams mission is to ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of Citis books and records. Responsibilities include: product line revenue and balance sheet validation, analysis and reporting, independent price verification, fair value hierarchy classification and valuation adjustments. By advancing with best practice, the team both protects Citis reputation and helps to be the best for our clients.


The Product Control team is organized by global product and region, and has a global footprint. The team is aligned to each of Citis principle product lines or specialized areas such as Valuation Controls, Governance Policy Controls and Global Process Owners Group. **Job Description**


The Product Control Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.


**Responsibilities**


+ Monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data

+ Identify process gaps and control issues

+ Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner

+ Interpret data, identify inconsistencies through research and recommend solutions based on analysis

+ Develop knowledge of how team interacts with others to accomplish Finance goals

+ Develop basic knowledge of industry practices and standards

+ Exchange complex information succinctly and with discretion

+ Identify and assist with testing of re-engineering opportunities to enhance processes and controls and achieve Best in Class practices

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


**Qualifications**


+ 1+ years of relevant experience

+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment

+ A control focused mind-set with strong process improvement capabilities

+ Knowledge of Derivative and/or Bond products a plus but not required


**Education**


+ Bachelors degree required in Finance, Accounting or other business related field of study
