Working closely with the Inside and Field Sales Management, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for all aspects of sales for selected customer accounts. They will call on established and potential customers to secure sales, conduct sales presentations, training, and promote goodwill as key strategies to sell Curriculum Associates materials and services.

The impact you'll have:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Calling on existing schools and school districts to discuss new products in conjunction with marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Calling prospective new schools and school districts to introduce them to the company, gain an understanding of their needs, and determine the best product(s) to address their needs
  • Becoming an expert on the company's products, the issues faced by teachers in the classroom, and the latest trends within your designated territory
  • Remaining current on educator challenges and trends in K-12 education by attending sales meetings, tradeshows and by reading trade journals
  • Developing annual sales plans, utilizing internal and external data to ensure that customer needs are thoroughly researched and addressed
  • Increasing sales and the average order size by cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales
  • Regularly conducting web demonstrations of the company's products to educators at the school and district level
  • Following-up on all leads in a timely manner
  • Meeting or exceeding established monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Setting-up, maintaining and keeping accurate customer records within the CRM system in a timely fashion
  • Presenting a professional image at all times to customers and prospects

What we're looking for:

This sales position has a seasonal and sometimes multi seasonal selling cycle and requires a patient and persistent sales approach. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a record of achievement:

  • Bachelor's degree (Education or Marketing/Business preferred)
  • Experience or equivalent passion and desire to work with educators
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
  • Proven organizational skills, high attention to detail and superior time management
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation and problem-solving skills; analytical capability
  • Ability to work independently with some direction; a self-starter
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and a professional demeanor
