Job Description

A Bill of Work Planner will function as the primary workscope analyst for the AO product.  Supports the product by conducting research on the maintenance history for developing the workscope directions through review, interpretation, and analyzing the customer supplied documentation including AO Maintenance documentation and performance records, modifications data, manufacturer's service bulletins/technical bulletins, FAA airworthiness directives, and/or Extended Range modifications'. 

Must be able to provide executable Bill of Work package to Production. Must identify deficiencies and problems independently, develop solutions for product team review and track execution across multiple work groups. Must maintain constant interaction and coordination with multiple support groups.  Must develop and implement efficient and highly accurate processes. Position will have base wide impact and will be required to recommend action for both short term/long term goal attainments.  Successful employee would use a wide range of data sources, both electronic and notes, and his/her own experience in the field to develop accurate and efficient workscope direction to produce customer repair/refurbishment /AO programs. Provides insight to overall departmental direction and makes recommendations to improve productivity and efficiency. Will be responsible for deferral and deletion requirements; bill of work execution to dock plan; review BOW's and ECO's; FMR's, pre-pulls, ECO kits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have prior Bill of Work experience or other related maintenance planning experience (minimum 1 year)
  • Technical degree or A&P license


  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees
  • Knowledge of DECS, RES, MAPS desirable
  • Familiarity with numerous functional areas
  • Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple areas of responsibility
  • Experience in positions requiring workload planning in maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and PC skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
