Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Sr. Principal Project Manager to join the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here.

This role is responsible to coordinate SE&I inputs into the program integration team for oversight and integration of program operations, execution and managing the program performance baseline. This includes integration with cross functional disciplines to include master planning, configuration and data management, digital engineering, business management, risk management, processes and tools, engineering, and more. This position regularly interfaces with senior management across the company and our customers.

The selected candidate will oversee and manage the SE&I organization's operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The candidate will also review status of projects and budget, manage schedules and prepare status reports, assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The selected candidate will also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and other stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Serve as an overall integration function for the SE&I organization engaging in many ad hoc activities required to ensure streamlined cadence for program operations and execution
+ Collaborate across all functions within the program to develop advanced concepts, techniques and requirements for new applications and tools
+ Coordinate schedules, requirements, and performance visibility to both the Program Office and the Customer while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule requirements
+ Facilitate internal and external meetings to support the program and represent program management in appropriate program reviews or boards
+ Develop and deliver high level briefings to Program Leadership and/or customer
+ Provide solutions to complex problems that are consistent with the organization's objectives
+ Identify opportunities for change and champion needed changes in the organization

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
