Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Financial Analyst to become a member of our consulting team that provides financial, engineering and transportation consulting to one of our largest Florida enterprise clients (one of the largest customer service providers in Florida). The Financial Analyst consults daily with the client CFO and staff, advising and reporting complex financial statements, auditing processes and systems, GAAP and SOX accounting best practices and maintaining and assessing cash flow for current and future client work projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Audit and review of daily and monthly reconciliations provided by revenue collection vendor

  • Develop analytical tools to track and interpret business metrics and analyze large data sets

  • Establish and execute client controls over revenue collection

  • Plan and direct audits of revenue collection operations

  • Present complex financial information to client senior financial team

  • Work with vendor to improve financial processes and systems, conduct needs assessments

  • Monitor vendor performance and key performance indicators

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance or accounting.

  • CPA license.

  • 4 + years of related accounting and financial experience.

  • Audit experience with a public accounting firm or corporation.

  • GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations experience and business interpretation analysis.

  • Complex financial statements, cash flow and SEC filings experience.

  • Knowledge of accounting and financial systems supporting financial and accounting requirements.

  • Experience presenting financial data and accounting research to senior management.

  • Ability to travel for special projects, if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience.

  • Transportation industry experience.
