This is a multi-level position Financial Analyst or Sr. Financial Analyst based on the candidates qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and requirements for this position.
The StormBreaker (formerly Small Diameter Bomb II (SDB II)) program has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst II or Sr. Financial Analyst. StormBreaker is a future Raytheon Technologies franchise program with $275M in yearly revenue and strong growth projections. The program is made up of Platform integration (F15/F18/F35), Production, Spiral upgrade and IDIQ activities with varying financial performance and contractual EVMS requirements. The program includes an efficient and effective team that relies on individual drive and integrity for success. Program culture is of high priority in this environment and it is expected that the candidate is capable of building business relationships, trust and rapport with business contacts within not only the program, but also the product line and customer teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for sustainment contracts and general support within the Production pillar of the program, with potential cross training in other pillars. As this is a financially challenged program with multiple production phases and contract types, the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and allocate resources in a challenging, deadline driven environment. In addition, professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with program and functional leadership at varying levels.
The activities will include:
Work closely with various functional organizations during the EAC development process; as well as monitoring these organizations performance against agreed upon budgets Providing support of month-end close financial planning activities Frequent interaction with various functions (including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations) Participate in the preparation of detailed CDRLs in support of expected future contract requirements (such as IPMRs and CCDRs) Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of labor and material for current and future orders Contractual and internal Earned Value Management reporting, including generation and analysis of monthly program metric Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability Ad-hoc requests
Minimum Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Math or directly related degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in financial analysis or related financial experience or a Master Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Math and 0 year of experience with related Experience with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and other Microsoft Office tools (including Word and PowerPoint) Experience using financial software systems Experience with Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Experience with meeting critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements in a fast paced changing business environment.
Highly Desired Skills :
Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills and experience working within teams Experience in using SAP R/3 Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, Business Warehouse) Working knowledge of financial planning system (RPlan) Defense Contracting Finance work experience Understanding of Accounting standards and practices Experience in contractual EVMS reporting, working in APEX/PRISM EVMS systems Strong financial analytical skills as well as a fundamental understanding of functional roles and responsibilities in a production environment (touch labor, support labor, material) Understanding of program control responsibilities which include meeting internal requirements such as coordinating budgetary agreements, preparing EACs and monthly forecasts Experience with project or task financial management and support including analyzing budgets, monitoring actual cost data, developing forecasts, and providing variance analysis Experience with financial evaluations of production programs, engineering projects, and/or process improvements strong understanding of what is driving variance within data sets Comfort and willingness to taking on new challenges
