The Emerging Middle Markets (EMM) segment focuses on clients with annual revenue of $20-$100mm. It is a priority for the CB Operating Committee, who is investing heavily in the space to gain market share.

The EMM Business Management and Strategic Execution team is an extension of the co-heads of EMM, Terry Hill and Arnold Evans, and is the connective tissue between Terry and Arnold (and the EMM strategic direction) and the functional teams who are building products, services, and processes for EMM (e.g., Marketing, Client Servicing, Bankers, Field Leadership, Communications, Product, Pricing, Digital). The team is organized by workstream with a VP owning 1 or more of the aforementioned functional areas each with an associate supporting.

Position Overview

We are hiring a VP to own the Client Onboarding, Client Servicing, and Client Experience workstream.

The VP lead of the œMiddle Office workstream is responsible for being the connective tissue between the co-heads of EMM and the teams who run the Client Onboarding, Client Servicing, and Client Experience teams. The VP and associate will plug into the Middle Office workstreams and influence the roadmaps of those workstreams to ensure it connects to the strategic vision of EMM.

The role requires a strategic, highly analytical, execution focused, and innovative individual who is passionate about understanding & meeting customer needs, creating end-to-end experiences, and can build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders. Additionally, given the high-profile nature of the team™s work, the ideal candidate would enjoy working in a dynamic environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills (with prior experience managing large programs and developing materials for senior leadership), a management style that fosters teamwork and collaboration, and have exceptional drive and energy

Functions and Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop strong trusted advisor / partner relationships with stakeholders, including cross-functional partners and MMBSI / CB leadership team
  • Drive change, consensus, and alignment on the target state vision and roadmap across a diverse set of stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Be an effective storyteller always prepared to share the development of strategies and results with our executive stakeholders includes preparing decks and design materials to share with partner teams, senior management, and executive leadership

Strategic Execution

  • Create actionable go-to-market plans, benchmark performance against key implementation targets/goals and ensure end-to-end accountability of key stakeholders
  • Define metrics and deliver outcomes for the business through execution of the strategic roadmap and associated plans
  • Manage projects within established timelines, budget, business requirements, operating objectives, corporate and LOB standards, and client needs
  • Manage dependencies and resolve conflicts within projects and partner organizations
  • Establish effective communication plan to meet the needs of stakeholders

Experience / Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience within financial services business, strategy or general management including experience in program management of cross-functional projects
  • Exceptional problem solver
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
  • Experience working and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to create structure and focus out of ambiguity
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and prioritize effectively
  • Bachelor™s degree required
