Chase is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and driven technology leader for its Credit Card Account Opening (Customer Onboarding) platforms. The role consists of providing technical, business, operational and execution leadership across the breadth of capabilities spanning online, mobile and banker assisted account opening; credit and fraud underwriting; account opening orchestration; across owned, affiliate and co-branded partners distribution channels.

The successful candidate will lead a global team of high performing software engineers, based in the United States and India. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of architecting and implementing technology solutions that span a global footprint and a proven track record of leading technology efforts for digital transformations.

In this role, you will work within an area product team that will collaborate with both internal business, product and technology partners as well as external partners to build and deliver to market personalized experience that meet the needs of our customers and support acquisition growth strategies. A significant part of the role will be to drive the modernization of the platform and deliver innovative solutions to allow more customers to access Chase credit cards.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Command of architecture, design, and business processes
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Expertise in working in in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Experienced in modern programming languages

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team by generating vision, establishing direction, motivating staff and nurturing a highly inclusive work environment
  • Manage a team of Software Engineers equipped to deliver end-to-end features to customers
  • Equip team with skills, resources and priorities necessary to achieve goals while anticipating and removing obstacles
  • Partner with Product & Design partners to build out backlog and drive deliveries towards key results established for the area
  • Drive all aspects of the development including requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration.
  • Oversee detailed designs, implementation, and test plan reviews to ensure high quality deliverables that are in alignment with the firm™s Risk and Control agenda.
  • Close engagement with Architects and technical responsibility for application architecture and design
  • Build highly optimized multiplatform consumer applications
  • Participate in Architecture & Engineering forums, perform design reviews
  • Align with the security standards and guidelines to ensure systems are secure and protected against threats
  • Provide opportunities for and actively participates in continuous improvement / learning / training activities

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles.
  • Experience of leading successful digital transformation projects
  • Experience in aligning technology roadmap strategy to business goals, designing solution, project execution and service management.
  • Command of architecture, design, software pattern and business processes
  • Strong ability to build relationship with cross functional working teams which may include contractors, third party vendors, various internal technology and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated track record of delivery and leadership of teams working in an agile environment
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, ability to work with direct and matrix resources from multiple cultural backgrounds
  • Experience with current privacy and compliance requirements related to customer and personal data (CCPA, GDPR, ¦)
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, project management and presentation skills.
  • Experience with continuous integration processes and tools
  • Bachelor™s degree in computer science or equivalent

Technical Skill Set

  • Strong experience building highly scalable and high thruput data platform
  • Experience in designing and developing applications using object-oriented principles and design patterns in Java
  • Comfortable with front-end, client-side technologies including:
    • HTML5/CSS3
    • JS frameworks such as AngularJS, React, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • Experience implementing RESTful services
  • Cloud application development, Spring and Spring Boot
  • Testing tools including junit, Phantom.JS, Selenium, Fluent, Cucumber
  • Build/Packaging tools including Jenkins, Maven, node/npm
  • Code versioning tools such as GIT/SVN
  • Experience with mainframe environment is a plus
