Director -- Global Payroll Quality and Product Excellence


ADP is hiring a Director of Global Payroll Quality and Product Excellence, supporting Global Payroll Operations for internal ADP associates and business. This leadership role is instrumental in leading a best in class Global Quality Assurance and Product Excellence program, while being a critical team leader in support of the overall global payroll operations. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing programs focused on global process and product excellence, quality assurance, audit readiness, global regulatory compliance, management of global payroll product and service catalog, all while embodying an innovation spirt in the ideation and delivery of future impacting services and solutions.


Furthermore, this leader will utilize their leadership and management experience with coaching, training, and developing a highly focused, productive and purpose driven team of four global impacting members, where building highly productive working relationships with end to end process stakeholders such as with Global Payroll Operations team, regional Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Accounting, and third-party partners is required. Lastly this role will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Global Payroll Service delivery model.


The ideal candidate will be a proven and experienced Quality Assurance and Controls professional, while having additional experience with leading process excellence and waste elimination initiatives. Furthermore, this leadership position does not have to have a global payroll background and can come from a wide range of professions focused on developing Quality Assurance and Control programs.


This position will be based in Augusta, GA, and report directly to the Sr. Director, Global Payroll Operations - Global HR Shared Services.




Quality Assurance and Controls


  • In working with the Sr. Director of Global Payroll, develop, implement, and continually improve the overall global payroll quality assurance and controls strategy.
  • Responsible for evaluating, monitoring, assessing programs, processes, and documentation strategies to ensure all products and services are delivered on time and of the highest quality.
  • Develop fully automated second line of defense automated controls to verify product and service quality is performing at expected levels.
  • In collaboration with end-to-end process stakeholders, work to develop enhanced quality controls and monitoring solutions which strengthen entire operating workflows, and not just in silos.
  • Develop, maintain, and continually improve a global audit readiness program, which is focused on the formalization of an enhanced state of audit readiness.
  • Utilize standard six sigma / lean processing tools to drive corrective actions which address root cause of issues







Transformational Business Initiatives


  • Oversee all Global Payroll processes excellence projects and initiatives. To include Kaizen events, SOP enhancements, documentation and implementation of Six Sigma and lean practices where applicable.
  • Focus on key business transformational initiatives which focuses on making work easier, while supporting those associate Moments that Matter.
  • Engage in on-going research focused on digital and automated solutions.
  • Take an end-to-end process approach to include all stakeholders as to maximize quality and control program impacts.
  • Develop and manage an Ideation and Innovation build-list, to ensure impactful products, services and solutions which are asked from our customers and stakeholders, but also before they are asked for.


Business Intelligence, Analytics and Reporting


  • Manage the day-to-day Global Payroll Business Intelligence, Analytics and Reporting strategy.
  • Continually seek opportunities to automate the intelligence gathering, analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Develop metrics that matter, where data interpretation leads to meaningful business impact.
  • Incorporate NPS as a strong business impact tool, while establish impacting KPI's
  • Develop data gather solutions which allow for the development of continuous process improvement, waste elimination and predicative analytics.
  • Develop and continually produce meaningful reporting which are both point focused, but also enables our speed to serve, impact, mitigate and ideate.
  • Produce weekly global Payroll operations business intelligence reporting, accompanied by truth in research, leading to new business solution recommendations.
  • Manage our business intelligence database network


Product Management


  • In alignment with the Sr. Director, Global Payroll Operations, develop and manage the Global Payroll Service Catalog, while managing the day-to-day tasks as it supports the overall Product Roadmap.
  • Lead and engage closely with global stakeholders with envisioning, scoping, designing, and developing requirements for new products and solutions.
  • Engage and lead innovation sessions to produce new and original product and service solutions.
  • Engage in research and development activities to ensure overall goals and objectives are being meet with current and future state services and products.
  • As required, engage with ADP product managers as to test or ideate into the incorporation of the Global Payroll Operations business.
  • Drive a culture of ideation and innovation in striving to provoke the future, which improve our operational framework, organization impact and the lives of our associates and our clients.
  • Establishes clearly defined department and individual goals and objectives and communicate to associates through department meetings and performance planning.
  • Provides periodic performance feedback versus objectives and conducts annual performance reviews on all associates.
  • Prepares department reports and submits to the Sr. Director as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.





  • 5+ years of quality assurance and controls experience
  • 3+ years of Process Excellence management experience
  • 2+ years of developing and leading a quality assurance and controls framework.
  • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience with a Major Area of Concentration in Business or accounting preferred or equivalent education and experience.

  • Teamwork: Partners with fellow associates, supervisors, and departments; contributes and exchanges knowledge and skills to meet group needs and goals; participates in resolving issues.
  • Consultative: Applies consulting skills and professional delivery to correctly implement a client to achieve best practices and compliancy.
