Put your experience to work in a fast-paced environment where input and innovation is valued. cxLoyalty Data & Analytics team is seeking a Data Engineer - Agent Experience to join and grow with us as we leverage both data and domain expertise to provide clear insights and better user experience recommendations. This exciting new role will work with our internal and external teams in providing the data in an operational way to analyze user journey™s on cxLoyalty agent platform as well as user interactions with agents. This individual will also partner with our GSD and Product team for strategic accounts to review these findings and determine opportunities to leverage analytic recommendations throughout the process. Ultimately, this position combines technical responsibilities with creative and innovative thinking. We are looking for a talented individual who can not only build queries and drive predictive analysis, but who can also bring energy and innovation to the position.

This position is responsible for the technical design, development, testing, implementation and support of ETL and analytic infrastructure for our service transformation around agent experience. At cxLoyalty you will have practical, hands-on experience utilizing data warehouse, ETL/ELT and analytic tools where we provide loyalty management solutions for our clients across multiple industries. You should be driven to provide quality solutions to challenging problems, working closely with client stakeholders, a highly skilled team of engineers, architects and thought leaders to design, build and implement solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Data Engineering team to build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Work with stakeholders as part of a multi-functional team and assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
  • Create documentation and best practice assets based on content created by department
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a preferred 2+ years of advanced working SQL knowledge or coursework and experience working with relational databases, assisting in the requirements analysis, design, and proficient in SQL development/coding
  • Have a working familiarity with a variety of databases including Postgres, SQL Server, MongoDB or similar open-source database is required
  • Experience with SAS data step and procedural programming, SAS macro language, SAS Management Console and metadata structures within a SAS version 9 environment preferred
  • Experience supporting SAS Data Integration Studio with IBM Platform Process Manager/LSF scheduler, including ability to design, document, develop and test data integration processes from analyst specifications preferred
  • Experience with AWS Lambda preferred
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • A self-motivated starter and team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research support issues, business requests, and potential solutions
  • Experience with performance and tuning analysis, systems support and optimization
  • Ability to train and mentor others to transfer knowledge of skills to designated teams
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating system
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, efficient organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Is detail-oriented and quality-focused
  • Knowledge of database development, design and support
  • Python, Kafka and other open source experience a plus
