As our Corporate Production Analyst, you will analyze our finished goods inventory as well as your assigned plant capacity requirements to develop a production schedule. To thrive in this role, you must have experience in production scheduling, willing to roll up your sleeves and take on new challenges. Prior experience in SAP is strongly desired.

Solving challenges is the very foundation of who we are. After all, in the beginning, our founder, sea captain Robert Fergusson, didn't particularly care about paint. When he founded our company in 1921, he just wanted to keep his ship intact and stumbled upon a valuable solution. Today, that discovery is Rust-Oleum Corporation.

The same passion that drove the Captain to spend his next few years creating the world's first rust-preventative paint still drives us today. When we see a problem, we work diligently until we've perfected a solution, which has led to some of the most cutting edge, durable and innovative products in the industry. Our creative and talented team of over 300 people at our headquarters in Vernon Hills, IL, and across every corner of the world, help us remain the global leader in protective paints and coatings for both home and industry.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Review our production schedule inventory targets to balance the scheduling of finished product.
  • Analyze plant capacity requirements and make decisions to modify schedule without affecting customer fill rate.
  • Record compliance to schedule and work with plant to ensure high level of service.
  • Pull information from SAP and distribute reports using Microsoft Excel.
  • Work with other teams and management to make changes to reports and develop new reporting methods.
  • Work with Marketing, Finance and Research and Development to develop and launch new products on time to customer launch date commitments.
  • Evaluate product costing lot sizes to determine best lot size to balance manufacturing efficiencies and inventory targets.
  • Work to resolve problems with current procedures, such as communications, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, or cost analysis.
  • Publish daily and monthly Key Performance Indicators to track important tasks for the Scheduling team.

Required Experience:

  • Associates degree
  • SAP experience preferred

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
