As an Applied AI ML Senior Associate in our Finance Modeling team, you will work with colleagues across the Finance organization at JPMorgan Chase to deliver high-impact quantitative models for our customers™ financial needs, including banking, deposits, credit cards, home and auto lending, and wealth management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with experienced team members on modeling and data science engagements to understand the needs of the business, sourcing data, exploratory analysis, model development, model deployment, and performance monitoring.
- Become a subject matter expert for your business partners
- Be proactive about changes in model performance, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape
- Contribute actively to the continuous learning mindset of the organization by bringing in and adopting new ideas and perspectives that stretch the thinking of the group
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- M.S. degree in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Economics
- Hands-on experience in developing statistical, econometric, or machine learning models.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence, such as reinforcement learning, or optimization algorithms
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline
- 1+ years of relevant modeling-related experience in consumer finance, wealth management, technology, or a major retailer
- Hands-on experience with Big Data tools (e.g., Spark) or Cloud computing
- Python Preferred
