Primary Objective:

The Communications Specialist is passionate about Spectrio's products while helping businesses by managing all internal and external communication of a company, and representing the company to the outside world. They draft media statements, answer media inquiries, compile publications, plan events and press conferences.


  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
  • Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company's policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
  • Arrange and coordinate press conferences, and plan events.
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players.
  • Adhere to the company's style guide, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy.
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company's strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
  • Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
  • Communicate company's policies using all forms of media and communications. Also effectively leveraging social media channels to publish client success stories.
  • Proactively reaching out to clients and creating engaging content such as videos, PR, by-line articles, case studies and planning a distribution cycle for the materials created.
  • Contribute to a positive culture by developing engaging, internal communication content, vehicles and activities that enable all within to connect on a daily basis
  • Cultivating an environment of readiness and alertness.
  • Maintaining an awareness of company risks and threats.
  • Manage overall reputation, assuring a positive company image to the public.
  • Ensuring quality control of all information released.
  • Manage project timelines and deliveries throughout the entire process from strategy to delivery
  • Drive, report and deliver results that deliver against KPIs
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maximize quality, impact, and efficiency of marketing efforts and adjust appropriately
  • Be a positive and engaged member of the marketing team and committed to sharing thoughts and best practices


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, journalism, public relations, or a related field (essential).
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in communications strategy development (essential) in Public Relations within an agency or SaaS-based company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms.
  • Proven social media and networking expertise.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven work experience in public relations for tech products {Preferably in technology domain)
  • Proven record of accomplishment of designing and executing successful PR campaigns
  • Immaculate written and oral communication skills and a penchant for marketing internet products
  • Startup experience highly desirable or comparable sprint planning and execution experience
  • Creative thinker, solution-oriented, budget-focused, experienced working in a fast-paced/sales-driven environment, and adept with leadership and project management skills
  • Experience with marketing platforms (ex. HubSpot)
  • Exposure to social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • High level of drive, initiative and self-motivation.
  • Proof of default to done mentality
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into actionable marketing efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Experience working with 3rd party agencies (PR firms)
  • Ability to travel 20%
