Treasury is a function within the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Finance organization that supports senior leadership in actively managing their balance sheet, Capital and Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Liquidity, interest rate risk (IRR), and funds transfer pricing (FTP). The CCB Treasury Controllers team is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of Treasury financials and controls, communicating CCB views of monthly and quarterly forecasts and actuals, annual budget/mid-year reporting and stress testing (CCAR/ICAAP/Risk Appetite). It is a unique and critical mix of reporting, analytics and project management in an ever-changing regulatory environment

The Vice President position will lead the CCB Capital Controllers team, responsible for:

  • Managing a team of 3 direct reports (Analysts/Associates) and 2-3 indirect reports (Associates) in Bangalore, providing guidance through in depth knowledge of RWA policies, BAU processes, and business drivers
  • Leading Capital / RWA reporting for all CCB lines of business (Home Lending, Card Services, Consumer and Business Banking, Chase Auto) on forecast and actual results
  • Leading Capital / RWA validation of month-end and quarter-end close actuals, coordinating with line of business, modeling, Reg. Reporting, and Corporate Capital Management partners
  • Leading end to end Capital / RWA Reporting for business planning and stress testing cycles, including Risk Appetite, CCAR, Resolution and Recovery, and annual Budget exercises
  • Coordination with leads within lines of business (LOB) Controllers, P&A, Corporate Treasury, CIO Treasury, BM&A, Capital Management and CFO groups on framework changes, new business initiatives, regulations, and other Corporate and senior management deliverables
  • RWA oversight into control processes, promoting a team environment of continuous improvement initiatives and streamlining of existing processes

Working in CCB Treasury Controllers will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an area of the Firm that covers the spectrum of asset classes & financial/banking products. The position offers visibility into various products across the bank as well as the unique opportunity to understand firm initiatives from a broad perspective. There is extensive partnership with colleagues within the various lines of businesses and Corporate functions.


Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
  • Relevant experience in a related finance, or treasury function
  • Experience in Balance Sheet and Regulator Reporting
  • Leadership ability, with experience managing one or more direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other technical field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint in particular - i.e. use of pivot tables, macros, PitchPro, etc.)
  • Displays a control mindset, sound judgment, professional maturity, is proactive, and is able to challenge the status quo, managing multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills, ability to coordinate with leadership
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Displays flexibility and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Knowledge of retail banking and consumer products a plus
  • Knowledge of Essbase would be an added advantage
