Treasury is a function within the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Finance organization that supports senior leadership in actively managing their balance sheet, Capital and Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Liquidity, Asset & Liability Management (ALM). The CCB Treasury Controllers team is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of Treasury financials and controls, communicating CCB views of quarterly forecasts and actuals and annual budget/mid-year reporting. It is a unique and critical mix of reporting, analytics and project management in an ever-changing regulatory environment

The Associate position will join the CCB Capital Controllers team, focusing on:

  • End-to-end ownership of the allocation of Capital to LOB’s based on quarter-end close forecast and actuals, coordinating with line of business (Home Lending, Card Services, Consumer and Business Banking, Chase Auto), P&A and Corporate Capital Management partners
  • Liaison with lines of business (LOB) Controllers, P&A, Corporate Treasury, CIO Treasury, CCB Treasury Analytics, Capital Management and CFO groups on framework changes, new business initiatives, regulations, and other Corporate and senior management deliverables
  • Responsible for completing control checks, reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives including streamlining of existing process
  • Supporting the business through analytics in the context of liquidity funding rules, net funding outflows and valuation of deposit products (CDs)
  • Own ongoing CCB treasury related projects including, but not limited to, SOFR transition, upcoming Basel 4 impacts, and securitization readiness

Working in CCB Treasury Controllers will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work in an area of the Firm that covers the spectrum of asset classes & financial products. The position offers visibility into various products across the bank as well as the unique opportunity to understand firm initiatives from a broad perspective. There is extensive partnership with colleagues within the various lines of businesses and Corporate functions.


  • 3+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting within financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other technical field
  • Relevant experience in a related finance or treasury function
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint in particular - i.e. use of pivot tables, macros, etc.)
  • Ability to find relationships and identify patterns in large datasets and to see business implications of findings
  • Control mindset, strong judgment, professional maturity, strong work ethic, proactive, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as a good team player
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Control/efficiency mindset and drive to challenge and change
  • Adaptable to change and ambiguity in the work environment
  • Knowledge of consumer financial services and products a plus
  • Knowledge of Essbase would be an added advantage
