Overview

The Advance Quality co-op will assist with improvement initiatives within the department including integrating our processes with new product development as well as continually improving our products based on internal and customer feedback.



Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Advance Quality Group Engineers to improve processes with process improvement and lean activities such as time studies, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events
  • Co-manage projects originating from supplier concerns, internal concerns, or customers concerns to provide root cause and corrective actions. This may include helping with design or manufacturing changes as well as communicating with interested stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate product group data to drive problem solving efforts and project prioritization via technical reporting
  • Gain exposure and experience to multiple functionalities of the business in corporate, manufacturing, and laboratory settings
  • Assist with monthly departmental reports
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, and work efficiently in cross functional team.



Qualifications

Experience required:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of statistical tools and their application
  • Project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Minitab

Education required:

  • Incumbent must be actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering degree, from an ABET-accredited program, and have completed at least one semester of sophomore year.
