With ADP's mixed footprint of private datacenter assets (private cloud) and public cloud footprint, there is a need for a unified control plane to manage the hybrid cloud environment keeping security guardrails, resiliency and observability in mind. ADP's hybrid cloud control plane is being designed and implemented using industry standard kubernetes native operator and controller framework leveraging APIs offered by ADP IaaS and public CSPs (Cloud service providers).

ADP is hiring a Cloud Native Architect for their Hybrid Cloud Initiative. We are looking for a candidate with recent industry experience working in a mix of on-prem and public cloud footprints. The candidate should have hands-on experience designing and implementing managed services on-prem and also implementing security and resiliency best practices on top of public cloud managed services.

  • Write Kubernetes controller and operators to act on CRDs reflecting resource definition files exposed to end users.
  • Leverage existing ansible playbooks, terraform templates and CloudFormation stacks to build the control plane.
  • Identify, define and request APIs needed from partner teams to successfully implement the control plane.
  • Document and socialize enhancements to the control plane and new services exposed via the control plane.
  • Contribute and evangelize the onboarding process to get managed services exposed from the hybrid control plane.
  • Iteratively take feedback and update implementation with changes addressing feedback.
  • Implement observability and self-service to digitally transform the support fabric of ADP's hybrid cloud operations.
  • Contribute to tools to establish an inner-sourcing culture of transparency and collaboration.
  • Implement pipelines to ensure managed service quality and uptime is preserved at all times.
  • Collaborate with on-prem core compute, storage, network architects to commoditize infrastructure services to build meaningful platform managed services including but not limited to database, caching, messaging, routing, etc to emulate public cloud experience on-prem.

EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:
