To underpin our commitment to serve patients, Amgen is developing our Translational Science focus with modern molecular and cellular science and pathology laboratories, designed to discover and develop valuable biomarkers in support of clinical programs.

Amgen R&D Clinical Biomarkers & Diagnostics (CBD) is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Scientist to serve as the imaging representative on Amgen's clinical project teams. The successful candidate will join an energetic research team responsible for the design and execution of research projects involving clinical imaging. Responsibilities of this Scientist include designing and conducting experiments, development of image analysis algorithms to extract relevant information, and comprehension of such results in order to communicate findings to colleagues. The Scientist works cross-functionally within Amgen and collaborate effectively with both the clinical and discovery research groups. The successful candidate with draft and implement protocols, execute studies, organize data, analyze results, and draft technical reports or tech transfer documents.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of scientific experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. with prior technical and operational experience in one or more of the following:

Application of imaging as a quantitative biomarker in clinical trials

IO tumor response assessment criteria, training and protocol development

CRO oversight and implementation of quality control procedures

Clinical CT, PET and MRI imaging

Drug development in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting
