The Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) Program sets forth JPMorgan Chase & Co.™s (JPMC™s) second line of defense coverage of compliance, conduct, and operational risk. CCOR establishes policies and standards that set forth the requirements for the Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Functions (CFs) and enables oversight and independent assessment over compliance, conduct, and operational risks inherent within the firm™s activities.

As part of CCOR, the Global Data Risk Management & Privacy team (GDRM) focuses on execution of the Compliance and Operational Risk oversight of data management governance, controls, and remediation activities in the first line of defense. GDRM provides on-going oversight and challenge to first line activities through governance, risk assessments, and independent monitoring and testing. GDRM is comprised of teams focusing on Compliance, Operational Risk, Reporting & Analytics, and Horizontal Risk Assessment and is led by the firm™s Global Chief Privacy Officer (GCPO).

The role will lead the Firm™s Global Privacy Office (GPO) and manage a team responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, standards, processes, programs, and frameworks to prevent violations of privacy and data protection laws, rules, or regulations. Additionally, this role will work with GDRM teams, other CCOR teams, and stakeholders in the first line of defense to apply, measure, and monitor solutions in a manner consistent with the firm™s independent risk management program. The GPO Lead will report directly to the GCPO.

Responsibilities:

The GPO Lead will manage a team that serves as the firm subject matter experts on privacy and the protection of personal information in alignment with the CCOR framework, including governance and oversight, regulatory management, policies and standards, training and awareness, monitoring and testing, issue management, risk assessment challenge, and reporting. Key responsibilities include the following.

  • Drive privacy compliance and operational risk strategy and priorities related to the governance and oversight of compliance with privacy laws, rules, and regulations and the firm™s privacy -related policies and standards.
  • Develop, review, and maintain, and review policies, standards, and guidance for privacy.
  • Lead and/or participating in appropriate committees, councils, and forums to identify and assess privacy risk, including emerging risks, risk trends, and issues.
  • Oversee relevant privacy-related op models and frameworks.
  • Participate in relevant meetings to evaluate initiatives and processes from a privacy risk perspective.
  • Lead the development of monitoring and testing coverage plans related to privacy.
  • Monitor regulatory environment to identify and communicate changes to regulations or regulatory expectations impacting the firm™s policies, standards, op models, and/or frameworks.
  • Participate in industry forums and monitor regulatory expectations,
  • Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts by participating in firmwide and/or CCOR DEI activities.
