CB Fintech - Deal Support and Execution - Associate

Job Description

This Commercial Bank Fintech team member will work to support existing and analyze new commercial opportunities. This team member will build and drive financial modeling activities for the Fintech team to prioritize and align strategy recommendations to commercial outcomes. This individual will support value creation activities with partners that support the business roadmap. They will engage in portfolio management and participate in commercial discussions with emerging targets. This Associate will drive end to end financial reporting for the CB Fintech team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage, build, and iterate on financial models and other deal tools to optimize outcomes
  • Extensive quantitative analysis of deal synergies and impacts
  • Ensure all deals are executed in accordance with the CB controls framework
  • Develop deep understanding of business roadmap, functional requirements, technical requirements and end-state customer experience
  • Support commercialization lifecycle in partnership with CB and firmwide colleagues
  • Assess ongoing enhancements to CB Fintech team tools and resources, including best practice playbook, research and technology applications and CRM / deal pipeline reporting
  • Strong collaboration with functional partners and firmwide teams

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years industry experience, preferably across financial analysis, quantitative research, investment banking, strategy, or consulting
  • Bachelor™s degree required, preferably in analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Physics)
  • Exceptional financial analysis and communication skills, ability to translate quant models into business impact statements and analysis
  • Proven experience building strong working relationships and demonstrating a highly consultative and collaborative approach when working with direct and matrixed team members and colleagues to deliver results
  • Ability to work independently, create and deliver on clear objectives in ambiguous / new situations and execute with a relevant sense of urgency when needed
  • Financial services background preferred, but not required
  • Experience at top tier analytics consulting firm is a plus
