The Business Management function has the mandate to improve productivity and effectiveness of Wholesale Credit (WHC) Risk teams, with a focus on proactive limit and issue management, remediation activities, regulatory communication preparation and escalations. The team also ensures full compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Financial Institutions and Counterparty Credit (FICC) within ICG Risk is responsible for proactively managing Citis credit exposures across the globe through a coverage model of regional and industry specialists. The portfolio consists of banks, broker/dealers, insurance companies, funds, hedge funds, amongst other counterparty types. Credit-sensitive products and services include loans, derivatives and other capital markets products, trade finance, clearing and settlement, cash, and securities services.


The Business Management Officer (FICC) position provides support to the ICG Risk Counterparty Credit Business Management Head and is responsible for the following:

Providing support for regulatory and audit requests and deliverables, which may include liaising with other functions within the Global WHC CAO team, across FICC teams/regions, and Business functions and Support functions (e.g. Risk Reporting).

Preparing and assisting with reports and presentations while ensuring materials are consistent with global information and are clear, concise and capture the pertinent concerns relevant to an internal or regulatory review.

Provide support to FICC teams as part of the Issue management process and the formulation and implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).

Assist with the streamlining and simplification efforts for reporting and information sharing in partnership with Global CAO and Risk Reporting team.

Support the implementation of strategic risk frameworks and regulatory remediation initiatives.

Ensure all issues and controls are proactively managed (as assigned) and engage in ongoing review and assessment of the control environment to propose changes to address emerging risks.

Act as the interface for the FICC teams on data quality issues and with Citi Data Management Policy responsibilities with the centralized data governance and infrastructure team.

5+ years of experience in either Risk Management, Audit, Governance or related area

Previous Credit Risk experience and exposure to Counterparty Credit Risk strongly preferred

Specialized corporate credit and industry knowledge or in-depth experience preferred

MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency required

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Ability to view data holistically and remain detail oriented to synthesize, prioritize and deliver results with urgency

Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation, facilitation, negotiation and strategic skills

Ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external audiences

Demonstrated work ethic and influencing skills


Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance or related field. Master's degree preferred
