Position Summary

The Alternatives transformation role will form part of the team focusing on the processes and technologies employed within the Data Analytics team of the Hedge Fund Services division of JP Morgan. The Data Analytics team is responsible for the flow of external data into the arcesium platform as well as the maintenance and accuracy of that data once in the platform. The team supports fund accounting in the NAV production process and interacts with multiple FA teams globally on a wide variety of areas including trade capture, pricing, corporate actions, reference data, loan processing, broker reconciliation data and more.

 
 

Key responsibilities:

 
  • Assist in the development of automated daily processes for capturing and recording trades, pricing, corporate actions and instrument reference data.

  • Trade review, accrued income and pricing checks for all daily and monthly clients

  • Reference and static data maintenance

  • Knowledgeable on various types of corporate action activities

  • Knowledgeable on various asset types such as, fixed income, OTCs, bank loans, swaps etc, to fully support clients and internal stakeholders

  • Provide local expertise to support fund accounting in all HFS locations

  • Help to develop custom automations to increase system efficiency, quality and effectiveness.

  • Must be able to adapt to working in a controlled environment and comply with JPMC Policies.

  • Project work as required



Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of the Alternative Investment sector

  • 4+ years of experience working with Advent Geneva/Arcesium

  • Knowledgeable of operations and accounting processes / technologies

  • Knowledgeable of Bank loans and all activities relating to bank loans processing

  • Proficient in the use of Bloomberg, Reuters, MarkIt and other data sources

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically with respect to product strategy and development agenda

  • Ability to work independently and also effectively in a matrix organisation

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines

  • Strong analytical ability working with different sets of data
