Job Description

JPM’s Finance & Business Management function is seeking a dynamic self-motivated individual to be the Business Management Lead for the Head of the JPM’s Wholesale Payments Operations Group (“the Group”).  This individual will report to the Head of Finance & Business Management for Wholesale Payments Operations and be a key partner to the Group Head in driving its strategic agenda, including business strategy, planning, communication and governance.  The individual must be a highly collaborative partner, have a strategic mind-set, and be process oriented, with a proven track record of relevant skills through prior experience in Payments, Business Management, Operations, Project Management, and / or Business Strategy.


About JPM’s Wholesale Payments Operations Group

Wholesale Payments Operations supports Core Cash and Trade Finance products and acts as the payment hub for JPMorgan Chase, including the Corporate & Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Asset Management, and Consumer & Community Bank.  Key group products include high/low value payments, liquidity sweeps/intraday cash movements, trade finance transactions (e.g. Letters of Credit), receivables lockbox and Federal/State government processing, disbursement services, commercial card solutions and Chase Merchant Services support. In addition, firm wide utilities such as Global Cash Account Management and Reconciliation Operations also align to the Group.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the Group head to define, implement and track the Group’s strategy and objectives, including the production of high quality and insightful materials to support the delivery of key messaging

  • Business governance including driving and coordinating the Group’s management team agenda, business reviews, organization design & change initiatives

  • Governance and communication of all aspects of performance, including at town halls, off-sites, business reviews and for regulators

  • Develop collaborative working relationships across JPM’s front office and technology finance & business management teams, providing consistent business value and transparency

  • Influence on business control agenda, in partnership with relevant control groups

  • External representation of the Group, both to regulators and industry bodies, as required 

  • Coaching and mentoring team members
