Position Summary:

The Product Manager II will join the Service Product domain and focus on the product onboarding experience. This individual will be responsible for evolving the Acquiring, Platform and Rails onboarding engines and driving the current core and future integration strategy.

The role will have direct accountability across the following deliverables:

  • Responsible for driving improvements to client experience.
  • Drive execution via cross-functional team for the Onboarding roadmap and delivery
  • Lead commercialization activities for Onboarding product stack, and drive scale and support for existing and new capabilities

This position requires a collaborative individual capable of understanding and navigating the impact of new processes, products and enhancements across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate understands the payments industry landscape (consumers, merchants, acquirers, networks, issuers, etc.), payment types & methods (credit card, debit card, ACH, new alternatives, etc.), AML/KYC standards, design thinking (client journey, UX), consumer & merchant payment channels (ecommerce, POS, etc.) and industry business models.

Finally, the ideal candidate is a highly organized and self-motivated individual who designs customer-obsessed products, manages a product release plan, flexibly adapts to internal & market forces, and has superior influencing / relationship management skills.

Role Requirements:

  • Partner with Operations to develop and execute on the Product Onboarding roadmap and broader strategy
  • Establish and deliver data driven insights and solutions
  • Drive process and technical improvements to the onboarding process
  • Establish thought leadership and client-centric vision for implementation capabilities
  • Ownership of agile development process through story creation and delivery for onboarding development
  • Work closely with cross functional partners, and clients to understand merchant/client needs, changes in industry landscape, and help drive solutions that are meaningful for clients
  • Interfacing with sales, sales support, marketing and operations partners to engage customers and inform customers of the detailed features and functionality of JPMorgan Chase & Co. products and platforms
  • Helping customers solve problems and craft viable solutions that can be delivered to market
  • Manage a set of products, features, or functions, including documentation, messaging, positioning, business models, pricing recommendations so that all stakeholders have access to clear consumable information
  • Interfacing with external partners and customers to promote Acquiring, Platform and Rails offerings and socialize those offerings in a way that positions JPMorgan Chase & Co. as the go-to market partner for payments solutions
  • Supporting all controls and compliance requirements and ensuring that all pre and post launch conditions are met in order to release product on time and within budget
  • Ensuring product suite is managed end-to-end during all phases of the product life cycle (introduction-growth-maturity-decline-sunset)
  • Identifying performance metrics and managing to successful outcomes
  • Creating and delivering customer experiences that delight and positively influence customer and employee NPS
  • Structure and present reporting and updates to senior management
  • Identify issues quickly, escalate and bring to closure, with a critical focus on client experience

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of product management and development, or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in computer science, business, or related field
  • Strong payments experience required -including servicing, acquiring, processing or issuing with first-hand experience at processor or acquiring bank
  • Strong understanding of the payments process and payments landscape (merchants, brands, acquirers, gateways, third party providers, etc.)
  • Proven ability to drive and deliver a successful Product Roadmap
  • Experience developing product strategy and establishing product positioning
  • Strong organizational skills to plan, organize and schedule resources
  • Experience with technical concepts and working with technical staff as needed
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to achieve goals
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Process improvement and client journey mapping
  • Talent for communication of complex business topics
