  • This job is part of the Long Range Planning Team within the Revenue Division.
  • This position is part of the Fleet and Regional Coordination Team within the Revenue Division. This position will have primary responsibility for Fleet Coordination.
  • In this role, you will ensure that the entire company is aligned with respect to how many aircraft are allocated to various uses (Maintenance, Commercial, Spares, etc.) and that schedules are built to proper aircraft counts.

What you'll do

  • Work with Fleet Planning, Tech Ops, and OP&P to track aircraft availability and account for different requirements to support revenue flying.
  • Maintain complex Microsoft Excel files and generate weekly reports that are used by various departments throughout the company.
  • When issues arise (aircraft damage, delivery delays, etc.), work closely with the Network Planning Team and other departments to find creative solutions that preserve as much revenue flying as possible while ensuring adequate support coverage.
  • Evaluate the impact of various projects/requirements (Maintenance/Commercial/Operational) on the number of aircraft that are available for revenue service.
  • Support the Budget and Rolling Level processes by providing updated aircraft availability files along with explanations of weekly/monthly/yearly changes.
  • Represent Network Planning in cross-departmental meetings related to aircraft availability/usage with an eye towards maximizing the number of aircraft available for revenue flying.
  • Present analyses, strategies and results to all levels of the organization.

What you'll do

  • Apply analytical modeling and data optimizing methods using advanced MS Excel to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, growth evaluation and financial analyses.
  • Perform validation of models to ensure adequacy, define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgement and statistical tests.
  • Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve profitability and planning / forecasting processes.
  • Develop periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analyses / projects outlining key business drivers and explain variances against budget.
  • Analyze data derived from various areas, such as booking activity, fleet analyses, market trends, ROI analyses, performance and budget analyses, profitability statistics, previous campaign results, site statistics, marketing efforts, revenue management, and pricing trends in order to devise strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Interact with other groups including Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, various operational groups, Joint Business partners and Regional affiliates.

All you'll need for success

  • Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/training
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in airline Network Planning/Scheduling, Revenue Management or analytical field, or Master’s degree in a related field

  • Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
    • Knowledge of AirVision Schedule Manager
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications
    • Eager to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment
    • Ability to leverage understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to drive results and innovative solutions
    • Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace
    • Ability to perform in cross-functional groups to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline
    • Skilled at sharing knowledge to develop the expertise of the team as a whole
    • Microsoft Office skills
