  • This job is a member of the Payments Automation team within the Finance Division.
  • ​Responsible for assisting the Payments team with assessing impacts for Internal and External projects, understanding business needs and writing user stories to effectively communicate the business needs. This role requires technical aptitude and business insight, as well as the ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • The resource is expected to become a liaison with multiple areas, adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment and relate Payment system processes with business objectives.

What you'll do

  • Assesses impact to Payments for internal and external Projects
  • Refines and optimizes processes to benefit from such projects
  • Proposes optimal processes and gathers approval from Business stakeholders
  • Works with business teams to elicit business needs and writes user stories portraying the business need
  • Ensures well defined acceptance criteria for stories
  • Works with developers and Agile product teams to ensure user stories are communicated and understood by team
  • Validates acceptance criteria is met, accepts user stories and demos to stakeholders
  • Communicates project status to the stakeholders through the project lifecycle
  • Supports the QA team in understanding project requirements and ensures test scripts created by QA team covers all business scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Identify roadblocks early in the process and proactively help with mitigating risks and issues

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in Payments space
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Experience working with Mainframe based systems
  • Airline experience preferred, specifically in the area of ticketing
  • Experience working in MS office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio)
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Experience working with API products and API strategy
  • Experience working with Mainframe as well as open system.
  • Experience in querying database
  • Payments experience preferred
