What you'll do

As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced.Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.

  • Assist with the administration of government mandated programs, audits and processes regulated by the Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) that impact employee hiring, promotion and reduction practices to include Affirmative Action Programs, OFCCP audits, EEO job classifications and annual reports
  • Responsible for reviewing content, and identifying location/workgroup specifics for annual Affirmative Action Programs for American Airlines
  • Review statistical analyses, approve and submit data for various compliance reports, OFCCP audits, and WARN documentation
  • Serve as liaison between internal customers, third party vendors, government officials, and compliance officers during OFCCP on-site audits
  • Research and advise on Federal and State regulations
  • Strategize with third party vendors and impacted workgroups to continuously improve processes impacting the employment process via automation and simplification
  • Works with all levels of management and departments to interpret government mandates and/or company policies as it relates to government compliance
  • Maintains confidentiality of personal information of applicants and employees

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience or training
  • 2 years Human Resources, Compliance, Auditing experience


Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines is essential
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to administer fair and consistent application of company policies and government requirements
  • Must possess a strong initiative toward continuously improving processes via automation and simplification
  • Related HR experience, with demonstrated knowledge of AA's HR policies and practices and OFCCP regulations governing Affirmative Action Programs and audits
