DescriptionThe purpose of your role as anAccounts Payable Specialist As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will perform variety of accounting clerical tasks related to the maintenance/processing of accounting records, invoices, etc. Position responsible for timeliness and accuracy of reports. Works closely with immediate accounting associates, finance associates, and with subcontractors.
- Assist with Preliminary Notice process as assigned.
- Process subcontractor and equipment invoices ensuring compliance with the subcontract or purchase order parameters.
- Review subcontract and equipment statements, follow up on missing invoices and research and correct discrepancies.
- Communicate with subcontractors and equipment suppliers regarding invoice issues.
- Manage the pay when paid process for subcontractors and equipment suppliers in coordination with AR.
- Manage the monthly lien waivers for subcontractors and equipment and material suppliers.
- Coordinate with AR to ensure sworn statements are completed timely and accurately with each monthly progress billing.
- Coordinate with AR to ensure monthly lien waivers are submitted timely and customer payments remain on schedule.
What we're looking for in you
- 5+ years of prior experience as an accounts payable clerk
- 5+ years of knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- 5+ years of proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience - strong excel skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
