Job Title: Account Based Marketing Technologist


Position Overview:


At its core, this position requires extensive hands-on technical experience developing personalized ABM-specific omnichannel and lifecycle marketing journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive audience engagement and sales leads via all applicable digital marketing outreach channels. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to adequately scope out key sales and marketing goals for each project, then develop, deploy, monitor, optimize, and communicate campaign performance leveraging reporting tools within the sales and marketing technology stack.


Given that this is predominantly a remote role, the candidate must perform their duties in a professional setting within the confines of all U.S. time zones, have reliable broadband Internet, possess strong communication skills (written and verbal), collaborate well with others on a technical and business level, and possess strong organizational, time management, and task prioritization skills, each of which is deemed critical to meeting or exceeding project timelines, goals, and objectives in a complex, fast-paced, dynamic, and results-driven environment.


The ideal candidate will solve complex technical and operational challenges associated with digital marketing technologies and processes in an ever-changing operating environment to achieve key strategic objectives.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Partners with key stakeholders across multiple functional teams (e.g., BU Marketing, Web and Performance Media) to develop, deploy, maintain, optimize, and measure personalized ABM campaigns leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including but not limited to Journey Builder, Email Studio and Advertising Studio, with functional connections to various web properties and other endpoints.


  • Collaborate with ad tech, analytics, data scientists, designated data custodians, sales operations, client service, and vendors to develop and activate cross-channel digital marketing tactics and strategies.


  • Create or integrate landing pages, forms, emails, SMS, MMS, advertising media, in-app push notifications, chat and other digital properties (static assets, images, videos, dynamic content) into sales/marketing/digital campaigns.


  • Create and implement AMPscript and other client and server-side scripts and data extensions to create personalized and variable content-driven experiences levering both multiple (1st, 2nd, 3rd party) data sources.


  • Configure API calls between Interaction Studio, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and other digital marketing endpoints.


  • Create SQL queries to extract data from various ecosystems (e.g., AWS, CDP, Data Lake) to build, launch, and maintain ABM-centric personalized campaigns/journeys.


  • Consistently apply lead generation and routing processes according to well-established organizational procedures and standards and collaborates with adjacent teams as required for ad hoc consultative support services.


  • Continuously seek improvement and automation opportunities, and pursue different emerging tools to experiment with in ABM efforts (reverse IP lookup, enhanced segmentation, dynamic scoring, etc.)


  • Recommend, develop and implement ABM-focused targeting via best fit ICP methods dedicated to developing sophisticated data-driven targeting strategies which trigger optimal engagement within all applied digital marketing channels supported by underlying campaigns.


  • Perform effective pre-deployment quality control testing and review processes individually and with stakeholders to validate correct campaign journey flows, asset content/messaging, brand compliance, deployment timelines, cadence, volume, and buyer or audience engagement-driven journeys.


  • Compile and communicate key data-driven insights and interaction signals with a persistent focus on identifying gaps that impact or impede sales/marketing/nurture campaign effectiveness.


  • Proactive focus on improving best practices, methods, techniques, tactics, and strategies which optimize audience experience, visitor engagement, and marketing and lead conversion outcomes.


Critical Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of referenceable and proven expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Interaction Studio
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Suite, including Journeys/Journey Builder, Email Studio, Ad and Mobile Studio
  • Creating and running sales/marketing/digital campaigns and associated reporting
  • Strong understanding of ABM, Omnichannel and Lifecycle Marketing programs with experience in website, email, SMS, in-app push notification, advertising media channels, chat preferred
  • Proficient with creating and implementing data extensions and SQL queries
  • Deep experience developing, implementing, and maintaining AMPScript, HTML, CSS
  • Strong command of responsive email and landing page design
  • Working familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, and SSJS
  • Strong knowledge of data movement via API, FTP, Webhooks, CDPs and DMPs

Familiarity with Eloqua, Alation, AWS, Optimizely, Tableau, Google Analytics, Cognos, C3 Metrics

  • Hands on experience building account segments in Demandbase/B2B Detect
  • Outstanding attention to detail and time management skills and the ability to solve complex technical and operational challenges associated with digital marketing technologies and established processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively both virtually and in-person with team members and stakeholders and able to adapt to evolving organizational, strategic, and operational needs




Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
