The Faculty of Arts and Science is seeking an experienced Director of Institutional Research. This individual will direct the Office of Institutional Research to provide FAS and NYU leadership with comprehensive information for statistical analysis; Oversee Arts and Science Information System; Lead collection of available data sources to conduct various research and analysis projects in support of Faculty of Arts and Science's mission; Communicate results of research to senior staff and school deans; lead various special projects (equity studies, data book) and represent Arts and Science in school-wide and NYU enterprise-wide systems related projects and participate in relevant operational planning meetings.
Required Education: Master's degree and
Required Experience: 7 years' experience in research design, data collection and retrieval, statistical analysis, reporting, IT project management, and managing professional and support staff or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Higher education experience in an institutional research environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency with desktop office suite; statistical packages; database management, structure and programming; and ad hoc reporting tools. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to present information to senior administration.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint); SPSS; Brio, and SQL.
