Our UW Medicine Human Resources has an outstanding full time opportunity for a HR Assistant Senior.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, the HR Assistant Senior is responsible for supporting the nursing recruitment and retention administrative operations, support activities and special projects. Key functions include:
Coordinates all necessary paperwork and processes with Payroll and Organizational Development and Training, and the newly hired employees to successfully hire and orient new staff.
Perform high volume data transactions in the Workday HR/Payroll system. These transactions are critical in ensuring our employees are compensated accurately and timely.
Prepares statistical reports for accreditation surveys and internal analysis.
Successfully provide employment policy and procedures information to the public, staff and management.
Effective analysis of administrative needs, workflow and work distribution to maximize efficiencies.
Effective coverage of various departmental support staff.
Accurate and reliable data and reports that support management and operations of the departments and the medical center.
Coordinates various nursing recognition events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Effective communication and service excellence skills. Complex clerical and database knowledge/skill using a variety of different software. Advanced written and verbal communication, knowledge of current business correspondence and report writing. Advanced knowledge and aptitude in the use of technology. Flexibility in meeting workload fluctuations.
Four years of office experience including two years of increasingly responsible experience in a human resource or related setting OR equivalent education/experience.
