Job Posting: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is an 886-bed acute, level 1 tertiary care teaching hospital located in the heart of Los Angeles, just a block away from Beverly Hills. The Pharmacy Department has over 380 staff members who provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services as well as outpatient services via 2 cancer centers and 4 outpatient pharmacies pharmacy services. The Department has accredited residencies in pharmacy practice and health-system pharmacy management and is affiliated with schools of pharmacy in California. Summary of Essential Job Duties: The pharmacist graduate is responsible for completing various projects and analysis assigned by associate directors or managers. These projects may be participating in regulatory compliance with a variety of departmental functions enhancing their understanding of policies and procedures. In addition, the pharmacist graduate may be trained in the basic operations of the department. The employee performs job duties with sensitivity to the patients' diverse cultural backgrounds. The employee maintains competency skills to identify medication safety concerns in the age related population and institutes additional measures to provide a safe environment with consideration to the developmental changes in the patient population. Employee takes initiative to continually learn and maintain clinical and regulatory knowledge. Note: New Hires must successfully pass a background check, a prohibited substance screening and a pre-employment physical.
Graduate of accredited Pharmacy school, pending Pharmacist licensure with the California State Board of Pharmacy (to be received within one year from date of hire)
Ability to speak read and write the English language.
Individuals must be able to do calculations involving ratios, proportions and percentages.
