The Departments of Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine are recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level specializing in musculoskeletal imaging research. Primary department appointment would be determined by specific interests and background with secondary appointment in other department. Successful candidate with MD or PhD, degree should have experience in cartilage and soft tissue musculoskeletal imaging and significant interest in developing independent research to effectively collaborate with clinicians and scientists in translational and clinical study of articular cartilage and musculoskeletal soft tissues. Our multidisciplinary team consists of NIH-funded engineers, biologists, radiologists, and orthopaedic surgeons investigating musculoskeletal tissue structure, function, injury, disease and repair from a molecular to the whole joint/whole body level with access to cutting-edge imaging technology including whole-body MRI system.
