Reporting to the Foundation Chairman and accountable to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director has overall strategic, development and operational responsibility to achieve the Foundation’s mission and goals. Key responsibilities include Leadership/Board Support, Development, Program Management/Operations, Financial Management; External Relations/Communications.
Provide leadership for the Chairman, the Board of Directors, and Committees to achieve the Foundation’s mission and goals.
I? partnership with the Board of Directors, develop short- and long-term goals and strategies designed for the betterment and growth of the Foundation.
Position the organization to maximize fund development opportunities through fundraising campaigns, grant writing, and soliciting key donors both individual and corporate in support of fundraising goals.
In conjunction with the Board of Directors, develop current operating plans and budgets, providing appropriate financial oversight.
Ensure the adequacy and soundness of the organization’s financial structure.
Handle day-to-day operations including board oversight, accounting and financial management, donor management, fundraising, organization website development and updates, marketing, programs and events.
Manage the Foundation’s programs including, but not limited to, breast360.org; grant making, community outreach programs and special events.
Develop and implement ongoing marketing campaign regarding Foundation programs and fundraising initiatives.
Ensure support for the organization’s involvement in advocacy efforts.
Maintain collaborative working relationship with the medical society staff and leadership.
Develop productive, collaborative relationships with other organizations whose missions interrelate with and support the Foundation’s work.
Serve as one of the spokespeople for the Foundation to other groups, ensuring that written and verbal communication reflects its mission and goals.
Represent the organization at public events, conferences, workshops and media events.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising experience that includes corporate/foundation giving, donor cultivation and grant writing.
3 or more years of demonstrated management experience in non-profit or business management position, including budgeting and financial management.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Technologically savvy including proficient user of software applications including Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Social Media, website template i.e. Wix, Email marketing i.e. Constant Contact
Ability to travel to Board meetings and other events.
Telecommuting is allowed.
