The Portfolio Associate role is a 12-18 month early-career program that focuses on accelerating the development of Grant Accountants while creating a pipeline of high-performing talent. The Portfolio Associate will span across various financial components while combining specialized training, unique job assignments and interactive experiences to equip you with exceptional technical, financial and business skills.

University Job Title: Portfolio Associate Yale School of Public Health
Work Week: Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day)
Required Skill/ability 1: Comprehensive knowledge of accounting theory and analysis. Strong computer skills, including but not limited to MS Excel, Word and MS Access.
Required Skill/ability 2: Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working partnerships and communicate with faculty, Principal Investigators, sponsors, GCA, GCFA, and other key stakeholders. Guide faculty and staff through changes in sponsor and Yale requirements.
Required Skill/ability 3: Well-developed analytic and problem solving skills. Well-organized and have an orientation to detail. Ability to recognize, correct, and prevent recurrence of errors.
Required Skill/ability 4: Proactive with strong sense of urgency to deadlines, curious and resourceful. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, manage time and resources effectively. Ability to read and comply with policies, procedures and guidelines.
Required Skill/ability 5: Excellent customer service skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. Demonstrated application of financial, accounting, and economic concepts.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree required. 0 - 2 years of experience with demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment.
