Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow within Population Studies department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Coordinates the conduct of population studies research, including studies of health-related behaviors and beliefs among cancer patients and individuals at risk for cancer, under the direct supervision of Principal Investigators.
Assists in ongoing research, with a particular focus on skin cancer prevention and control, data management and analysis, and writing and preparation of manuscripts and grant applications.
Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to, providing analysis using quantitative and qualitative data, writing lead-author papers, and designing, applying for, and conducting grant-funded research.
Home Location Campus: Downtown New Brunswick
Prior experience in cancer prevention and control of psycho-oncology research is preferred.
Strong record of publications and excellent writing and statistical skills preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is also essential.
