This position is responsible for providing general administrative support to the office of the Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences; a fast paced and ever changing environment.
Provide administrative office support for the director of administrative operations and special projects, office of the dean and overall support to the deans suite.
Organize and maintain deans suite office expenses.
Prepare and maintain deanâ??s daily briefing packets; checking them against the deanâ??s complex calendar for accuracy.
Ad hoc assistance with event planning.
Ad hoc backup for the dean's executive assistant.
This position is an 19 hour a week, part-time position and reports to the director of administrative operations and special projects office of the dean.
Good time management skills are required to ensure that time-sensitive projects are completed on deadline.
Time may be split between the deanâ??s two suite locations.
Preferred: Associates degree
3-5 years of providing administrative support, bookkeeping, and/or office management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong organizational and written communication skills with an excellent command of the English language and grammar
Attention to detail and strong proofreading
Computer proficiency in word processing, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, Google Suite applications, spreadsheet and/or database skills, navigating the internet and proficiency in email
Demonstrates a high level of discretion, confidentiality, attention to detain and the ability to take initiative in problem-solving with a strong customer service orientation
Ability to maintain a professional work environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Ability to keep a flexible work schedule, including ability to work additional hours, or different days/times
