Job Summary/Essential Job Functions:
The Research Assistant assists the PI and Program Coordinator and team in specific tasks in the Diabetes Research study. This position also assists in maintenance of research files and various communication regimens with the research participants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules participants in clinical studies visits in conjunction with various phases of protocol.
Calls study participants; Answers questions about studies and recording calls to the study telephone.
Assists in the collection, processing and transportation of biological samples.
Maintains proper filing and documentation of research documents including participants' charts and lab results at all study locations.
Supports data collection, data entry and data analysis for various studies.
Assists with various study related tasks as may be required by the Principal Investigator and other study staff.
Performs other duties assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in one of the sciences or any health related fields; OR Combination of college course work and work experience to equal 8 years. Must have excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. THIS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
