The Role: Under the direction of the Director of Asset Management Operations, the Project Manager will be responsible for responsible for end to end project management activities for AM Operations including project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification, tracking and implementation. The individual in this role will manage large scale cross functional /cross sector (including Investment Management, Investment Servicing and Pershing) projects assigned to AM Operations. The Project Manager will also develop and manage the entire scope of work (i.e. within the project) to be delivered through effective expectations setting, communications, change management control, budget control and management and overall business understanding of the project needs.
This position requires an individual who is both self-motivated and detail oriented; a strong communicator who is comfortable interfacing across multiple departments and with individuals at various levels of the organization.
Development and management of a project plan (i.e. to include one or more detailed project plans), define and deliver the project deliverables, manage the expectations all stakeholders
Manage all internal and external relationships, manage one or more project teams in delivering the project, communicate and manage tasks and activities to a schedule with the team
Accurately track and report project task, activity, documentation, time tracking (i.e. daily submission, detailed accounting of activities, follow up documentation, etc.)
Effectively manage multiple priorities from one or more projects. Support development and/or finalization of major lifecycle documents, including Business Requirement Specifications, Functional Design/Requirement Specifications, product briefs, release notifications
Develop and execute User Acceptance Test Plans on in-house software and external vendor products from Business and/or Functional Requirements Specifications
Effectively support multiple priorities from one or more projects
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience project management
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or comparable applications
Experience working in securities industry
Ability to work closely with technology areas
Working knowledge of MS Access
