The Clinical Advocacy Case Manager (Registered Nurse, RN) responds to telephone inquiries from participants. The RN will provide direction, education, coaching, and research for our customers and their dependents as they make decisions regarding their health and the health of their dependents. This position is important and provides great value as our clients are concerned about the rising costs of health care and are focused on providing wellness, education, treatment options, and keeping their employees healthy. This position supports Alight Solutions benefits administration and HR BPO platform businesses. Job Responsibilities-Respond and research customer and/or their dependents inquiries regarding their health questions or concerns.-Educate customers and/or their dependents on possible treatment options based on the standard of care for their diagnosis.-Educate customers and/or their dependents regarding tests, treatments and medications recommended by their physician.-Refer customers to support programs sponsored by their employer or community as it relates to the issue.-Act as medical consultant to Advocacy Team.-Coordinate physician consultant referrals by using supporting clinical resources.-Identify barriers for customers attempting to access care.-Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and health care providers.-Manage daily relations with assigned accounts and key contacts.-Upon account requirements and upper management request, visit clients for new account implementation and maintenance of existing accounts.-Seek and maintain current profession credentials, and engage in continuous medical education.
