TheUniversity of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currently recruiting for a 50%Family Nurse Practitioner faculty member to join the Department of Family andCommunity Health.
UMSONenrolls more than 1,800 students in its baccalaureate, master's, and doctoralprograms. It is ranked 8th in the nation for master's programs and 5th in thenation for Doctor of Nursing Practice programs by U.S. News & World Report.It is part of the University of Maryland graduate professional campus that alsoincludes the schools of medicine, dentistry, social work, pharmacy, and law andis becoming one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in thenation. The unique composition of the campus enables health professionals toaddress clinical care, public policy, and social issues throughmultidisciplinary research, scholarship, and community action. Participate in the development, teaching,organization, and evaluation of clinical and didactic education in the entrylevel Maternal, Newborn, and Women's Health Nursing (OB) course and the entrylevel Emphasis area course; advise students; participate in faculty governance;and provide service to the school, university, and profession.
Recent experience in maternal,newborn, and women's health nursing (OB) required.
Master's degree in nursing required;Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, enrolled, or commitment toenroll in a doctoral program within one year required.
Current license to practice nursingin Maryland required.
FNP board certification preferred.
Experience as an FNP preferred.
Prior academic experience preferred.
