The Per Diem Mammography Technologist is responsible for Mammography examinations, interventional procedures, and provides data input into the Mammography Data Base (MQSA). The Per Diem Mammography Technologist's work routines are guided by established procedures and protocols; quality of work performed is approved or reviewed by the Senior Radiologic Technologist, Quality Control Technologist, Associate Chief Technologist, or appropriate Radiologist. The Per Diem Mammography Technologist operates various types of Mammography equipment to provide diagnostic images for diagnostic interpretations by a Radiologist.REQUIRED--Current California CRT Mammography Certification.--Current AHA issues CPR.--Experience performing diagnostic procedures, diagnostic mammography, and interventional mammography.--Skills to operate radiographic and auxiliary equipment.--Skills to produce quality radiographic product images. --Physical/manual dexterity to operate equipment, computer keyboard and perform essential functions of the position (i.e. move, manipulate and transfer patients weighing up to 400 pounds on/to/from exam table, with assistance as needed).--Move supply boxes and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds. --Knowledge of standard keyboard, ability to input/retrieve data accurately and to observe applicable Radiology Information System (RIS) and Information Services (IS) access codes, security and patient privacy.PREFERRED--ARRT and ARRT Mammography Certification.--Experience using Radiology Information System (RIS).SPECIAL REQUIREMENT--Rotate to scanning locations to include Main Hospital Davis Tower, ACC, and PCN satellite facilities.--Variable work hours and days (including weekends and holidays), hours, and locations as required to meet business needs of the practice. --THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
