The Revenue Manager (Analyst V) is responsible for interpreting Medi-Cal and California Children's Services (CCS) policy and procedure, and translating those policies into departmental processes to maximize Medi-Cal, CCS, and Third party revenue. The Revenue Manager will work closely with Division/Section Chiefs to provide faculty education and updates regarding current billing practice and compliance issues. In addition, the Revenue Manager is responsible for developing and documenting processes for ensuring excellent charge capture for professional fee billing associated with all of the Department's off-site services and CCS/GHPP coordinator fee program.REQUIRED--Experience performing high-level analytical functions, analyzing complex information, performing independent research, and presenting complex data.--Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.--Demonstrated experience working with financial impact of payer policy changes; provides payer analyses, RVU (Relative Value Units), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) utilization analyses, and denial trend analysis to enhance department income. --Demonstrated advanced PC-based and mainframe computer experience.--Demonstrated experience utilizing systems and programs to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, financial and billing systems or similar systems.--Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.--Skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals at all levels.--Organizational and time management skills.PREFERRED--Demonstrated experience and skill to run Decision Line reports.--Experience with SAR, Decision Line, CCE,CICSP, INVISION, and Signature billing applications.--Analytical skills to effectively comprehend large amounts of complex medical, administrative, and fiscal information.--Extensive knowledge of UCDH billing systems and accounting practices and procedures related to inpatient and outpatient billing. --Extensive knowledge of capitated and managed care insurance account receivable policies and procedures.-- --Knowledge of University financial and data systems, business practices, policies and procedures.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT--THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
