DecisionPathITMES Project ManagerPermThe MES Project Manager will drive our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) project though all phases, utilizing the Inductive Ignition platform. This includes requirement gathering, design, development, implementation and stabilization. The MES system will integrate with other enterprise systems, chiefly ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX). The MES Project manager will also assist with the design, implementation and management of the industrial control network as it relates to data collection, MES and industrial control activities.The MES PM will be responsible for managing resources, budget, and project team members as well as coordinating the efforts of internal teams with external consultants to deliver projects to plan. In addition, this position will assist in defining project objectives and overseeing quality control throughout its life cycle.The PM will be responsible for continual system upgrades and enhancements, the development and execution of training, system documentation, global and customized templates for managers and executives including management reporting and ‘dashboard’ business analytics.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•Direct the design, planning and testing throughout all phases of development and implementation of MES projects.•Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and process owners.•When required, negotiate with other department managers for the usage of required personnel from within the company to form project teams.•Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other process owners.•Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.•Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.•Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables.•Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.•Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.•Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.•Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.•Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendation report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.•Management of other IT projects as required.•Support end-users of IT systems as required.•Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES•A demonstrated and thorough understanding of the concepts of process control systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES/MOM) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), batch management, WIP tracking, product genealogy, SPC, and manufacturing information systems•Experience integrating with external enterprise systems and software development experience, particularly with Python, is a plus.•Experience with a wide array of IT and Industrial control systems and technologies and a working knowledge of computer networking.•Demonstrated cross-functional capability; experience working in or with other business disciplines such as Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or Engineering.•Highly organized and detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Additionally, since the candidate will be working in teams and directly with end-users, management and external resources, excellent communication and interpersonal skill are required•Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, respond with flexibly and positivity in all circumstances and to work calmly under pressure. •Excellent computer skills and experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word. Must possess ability to use these tools to present data clearly and concisely. QUALIFICATIONS•Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in information technology, controls engineering or related field.•Minimum 3 years relevant work experience implementing manufacturing execution systems.•Undergraduate or graduate degree in information technology, controls engineering or related field.•Project management certification, such as PMP or relevant work experience•Must be willing and able to obtain required legal documentation to travel outside the United States.•Must be willing to travel and obtain additional training / certifications
