Legacy Health is seeking a Coordinator, Clinical Risk Management (CCRM) to join our cohesive team of RN Clinical Risk Managers and Patient Relations Specialists. This positon reports to the Director, Risk Management and Patient Safety, and is a member of the Quality and Patient Safety Division of Legacy Health.
Partners with clinical personnel and leadership to manage and investigate adverse outcomes,including those related to clinical error
Notifies our self-insurance program about potentially compensable events.
Supports the process of disclosure for medical errors
Provides real time risk management consultation for LH employees and leaders and responds to risk management questions posed by physicians, nurses, and other LH employees.
Facilitates root cause analysis and leads other group meetings
Recognizes, investigates, and prepares the reports for those cases that meet criteria for patient safety reporting to patient safety agencies and regulatory bodies
Conducts or supports the investigation of and response to patient grievances alleging sub-optimal clinical care, in compliance with regulatory requirements
Provides training for Legacy Health physicians, nurses and others regarding their role in reducing liability exposures.
Will share on-call responsibility
As required by licensure.
BSN or Bachelor’s degree in related health care field required; BSN preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare risk management or related field required.
Current Oregon and Washington state RN license required.
